Cafe 't Avontuur was founded back in November 1976 by Bob van Aartrijk and got his name after an old Klipper sailship ''de Avontuur" wich was build in 1909 and wich was later owned by the Aartrijk family.
Today the ship is still sailing and Cafe 't Avontuur is one of the last oldschool (hard)rock bars in Dordrecht where a lot of different people from different ages meet up to have a drink, play games such as tablesoccer and poker or watch a gig.
